What I'm Reading

The More of Less By Joshua Becker

Mid-April has arrived, and the weather has started to warm up! Things are starting to turn green or at least think about it and I find myself still quarantined while enjoying the easy going days of nowhere to be and nothing to buy! I know that some are starting to think about Spring Cleaning and that people across the country are using this quarantine time to finish projects and clean things out!  So I thought, what better time to share with you one of the books I’m currently reading?  The More of Less: Finding the Life You Want Under Everything You Own by Joshua Becker.

I am still reading this one, but I’m just over 75% done so I figured I’d start to share, and I can update you when I finish! As I get further into this book, I find myself enjoying it more and more. This book is Joshua’s story about finding minimalism, how it works for his family and how he’s impacted others with this information.  In this book he addresses what minimalism means for him and others like him, he admits that it can mean different things for different people. He discusses our need for consumerism and the ways that we are blindly exposed to advertisements.  He provides information with how to change our mindset and therefore change our life.  Leveling and experimentation are ideas that Joshua discusses that hit home for me. Leveling with experimentation is a process of packing things away and seeing if you can live without them. He recommends that you try this for 29 days. I’ve done leveling without calling it that for a few years now and it is interesting to see how it’s worked for others.  It has worked wonders at our house and has even helped to convince my husband that we might be okay without something that he initially thought we’d need to keep.  I’ll update you more as I keep reading!  Have you read this book or any of his others? This book can be purchased at the link below. It’s available for Kindle users too! I’ve also left links to his other books incase you’ve already read this title and want to try others!
